University research partnerships.
OSS Holdings sponsors defined research topics with universities and research institutes where the underlying question is material to a portfolio initiative — infrastructure economics, regulatory design, financing structures, technology deployment. These are not open calls: we work with institutions we know, or that a portfolio counterparty introduces. Direct inquiries about sponsored research can be sent via the office.
About the assessment
When challenges open, some submissions are assessed automatically against a published rubric before a person reviews them. A candidate whose submission is declined at that step can request a human review. Fellowship applications themselves are read by a person.
